Посмертная катапульта

Что определяет нашу жизнь? Конечно же новые отношения и порождаемые ими события. Но, именно смерть, своим неотвратимым пределом накладывает на нашу жизнь важное обстоятельство – жить её в максимально возможной полноте и яркости.

Моё любимое выражение – при жизни помни о смерти, нашло свою иллюстрацию на маршруте экспедиции Живая Параллель в перуанских Андах, в крепости инков Писак, о которой я уже рассказывал, обещая подробнее остановиться на одном занятном наблюдении, связанном со смертью.

Здесь, на вершине крепости жили правители, трудно поверить, но буквально какая-то сотня метров узкого ущелья, отделяла их жилище от... кладбища. Таким образом, правящим инкам ежедневно попадалось на глаза напоминание о конечности жизни. Уверен, что именно этот факт заставлял их жить ответственней за управляемый ими народ кечуа.

Но, наиболее пикантной оказалась сама процедура, не столько захоронения, сколько... транспортировки усопшего. Мало того, что хоронили инков в скале, в позе эмбриона, так ещё и вместе с их золотом, которого как известно, было довольно много. Для этого использовалось устройство: покойника с его пожитками усаживали в специально подготовленную корзину, на дне ущелья, привязывали её веревкой через блок на вершине ущелья и, привязав к свободному концу веревки камень, в нужный момент кидали его в ущелье и покойный в корзине взлетал, словно на аттракционе, до нужного уровня, там его подтягивали длинными палками к скале и аккуратненько замуровывали, оставив маленькие округлые, словно гнёзда птиц, окна, видимо для проветривания и уж точно, как напоминание живым о неизбежности смерти.

Окна могил соплеменников были прекрасным стимулом к ответственной жизни правителя.

Хоть и все могилы уже давно разграблены, но ценности знания, о том как процедура захоронения добавляла живым градус социализации, не уменьшило.

Само устройство не удалось посмотреть, оно и к лучшему – итак всё понятно. Фотография тоже не столь яркая, как предыдущие, а разве может быть иначе, с напоминанием о смерти то? А?

Recently I have been asked this question.

This has made me ponder. As you know only dead people do not perspire… If this question has been asked, if it concerns somebody including me and if my feelings give rise to new thoughts then he is rather alive. From the perspective of the doctor stating the facts of the patients being discontent of the quality of the medical care provided he may be dead!

But as the woman cannot be just a little bit pregnant then a person cannot be half or partly alive or dead. Besides ...

I want to take a breath – we have done it! The expedition Live Parallel 2013 – Papua New Guinea where we walked many kilometers through the jungle, spent tens of kilometers inside the tarantas and hundreds of kilometers on board small planes flying on the same principle as a route-taxi, has come to an end without loss and above all with the result! But it could be otherwise… Well, let us not talk about sad things but about interesting ones, so… Jakarta was the first place to see.

Lecture "Diagnosis: The Traveler"

International Festival in Travel and Tourism named after N.N. Miklouho-Maclay "Russian traveler" was held in Orel.

My lecture "Diagnosis: The Traveler", planned in three parts, one for each day of the festival, was received with interest by world-famous travelers. But, as they say, tell God about your plans and he will laugh - and it happened. The third part, in my opinion the most important, because of the time-bound regulation was not brought to the listeners. However, in this there was a plus, as this is the best reason to continue the relationship outside the festival and breaking the boundaries, regardless of the distance to complete the scheduled.
